The maximum temperature in Delhi may hit the 40-degree Celsius mark at isolated places by April 17, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said. However, it added that a heat wave is unlikely. The maximum temperature on Monday settled at 34.9 degrees Celsius, the highest this year so far.
