A female constable of the anti-Romeo squad was abused and raped by a fellow policeman in Uttar Pradesh on the pretext of marriage. The accused surrendered 70 days after the woman complained and has been sent to judicial custody. The victim had written to the Superintendent of Police complaining about the same, after which a formal case was registered.
