Sweden, Finland begin talks with Turkey to join NATO

Representatives from Finland, Sweden and Turkey met in Vantaa on Friday to advance talks to include the two Nordic countries in the NATO alliance. Turkey is the only NATO country to directly oppose Helsinki and Stockholm’s accession into the grouping. Turkey claims the two nations have imposed an arms embargo against Ankara and harbours persons itclassifies as “terrorists”.
