Singapore may have slipped into a “technical recession”, as per reports citing the country’s economic data reported last week. The country’s annual exports fell for eighth consecutive month in May, while employment increased at a slower rate. A technical recession is when an economy contracts for two consecutive quarters and Singapore’s economy shrank 0.4% in the first quarter of 2023.
