US man charged after accidentally shooting himself during a dream

A US man is facing firearms charges after he accidentally shot himself in the leg while dreaming that he was defending himself against an “intruder” in his home. Police responded to the incident and found that he had lost a lot of blood. Further investigation revealed that he had a revoked Firearm Owners Identification card, yet still possessed a firearm.
