Sonam Bajwa, who predominantly works in Punjabi film industry, revealed that she had auditioned for female lead role in ‘Happy New Year’, which eventually went to Deepika Padukone. She added that she was given a scene and was asked to dance to ‘Chikni Chameli’ during the audition. The film, released in 2014, starred Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and others.
