Iranian filmmaker sends lock of her hair to film festival in India amid travel ban

Iranian filmmaker and women’s rights activist Mahnaz Mohammadi, who wasn’t able to attend International Film Festival of Kerala due to a travel ban imposed on her, sent a lock of her hair to the film festival. Mahnaz is the winner of the Spirit of Cinema award. Several women are registering their protest by cutting hair in Iran amid anti-hijab protests.
