Suella Braverman appointed as UK’s new Home Secretary

Goan-origin Suella Braverman, the Conservative Party member of Parliament for Fareham in south-east England, was on Tuesday appointed as UK’s new Home Secretary. Braverman, who was a candidate for UK Prime Minister, dropped out in the second round in July and supported Liz Truss instead. Suella, a Cambridge University law graduate, married Rael Braverman in 2018.
