The Supreme Court will deliver its verdict on July 11 on a petition by jailed Abu Salem who has contended that his prison term cannot exceed 25 years under the extradition treaty between India and Portugal. Salem’s counsel has further argued that his period of detention in Portugal should be set off against his sentence of imprisonment in India.
