US has so far witnessed 309 mass shootings and 15 mass killings in 2022, according to data by Gun Violence Archive (GVA). This comes as at least six people were shot dead and several others left injured during Independence Day Parade in Illinois. As per GVA data, 10,072 people have died due to firearms so far in US this year.
