An ardent Shane Warne fan Kellie Carter-Bell has revealed how she got the legendary spinner’s face tattooed on her thighs as he helped and inspired her to rescue herself from a foul relationship. Kellie got Warne’s face tattooed on her right leg last week and proudly displayed it on March 30 (Wednesday) when she entered the MCG for her inspiration’s state memorial service.
She stood beside Warne’s statue and told everyone about the strength and power that he had provided her with so as to escape from the domestic violence that she had been facing at home for more than two decades.

“I suffered 23 years of domestic violence and Shane Warne taught me to love myself again,” she told Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday evening. “I had a chat with him and we were friends ever since. The charisma of the man. The intelligence and not just to do with cricket,” she added.
Kellie, who’s a grandmother to five, further said: “The legacy of him teaching me to love myself has made a difference in 10 lives already.” The state memorial service witnessed more than 50000 people turning up which included the spin legend’s family, fans, teammates, and celebrities, at the spin king’s final farewell.
Many members of Warne’s crew wore scarves representing the cricket legend’s favourite AFL team – St Kilda. Gary Lyon, AFL’s great, said that the MCG’s atmosphere was completely different. “Given what we’ve been through for two years, of course we’d much rather be doing it under different circumstances, but if this was happening a year ago we wouldn’t have had the opportunity. So it’s great and people are here for the right reasons,” he said.
He also mentioned that Warne got the memorial that he deserved as a stand was named after him to celebrate his career. His teammate Andrew Symonds was also among the people who attended the memorial service.
