Sex with a person’s consent after falsely promising marriage does not amount to rape, the Orissa High Court has said. It said this while granting bail to a man accused of rape. He allegedly took a woman to Bhubaneswar on the pretext of marriage and got physically intimate with her for a few days before leaving her.
