Adani Realty has received final approval to start redevelopment of Asia’s largest slum Dharavi in Mumbai. Estimated to cost ₹23,000 crore, 6.5 lakh slum-dwellers living in 2.5 sq km area will be rehabilitated in seven years under the redevelopment project. The winning bidder will also be allowed to build apartments and commercial buildings for sale to recover its construction costs.
