The European Qualifiers Group J match against Liechtenstein in Lisbon was Ronaldo’s record-setting 197th international match for Portugal. Ronaldo overtook Kuwait forward Bader Al-Mutawa, who has played 196 international matches. Ronaldo made his Portugal debut in 2003.
