The Seoul High Court has ruled that South Korea’s national health insurer should provide spousal coverage to a same-sex couple, in a decision that marked the first legal recognition of a same-sex union in the country. The ruling overturned a lower court’s decision on the matter. Same-sex marriages aren’t legally recognised in South Korea.
