Tata Group succeeding with its bid to take over an iPhone assembly plant in Karnataka would give a boost to the country’s ambitions to become an electronics manufacturing hub, N Ganapathy Subramaniam, Chief Operating Officer at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), told Bloomberg. Tata is looking to take over Taiwan-based Wistron’s iPhone factory in a ₹4,000-₹5,000 crore deal.
