Former doubles world number one Sania Mirza said she will retire after next month’s Dubai Tennis Championships. The 36-year-old planned to retire at the end of 2022 but an elbow injury ruled her out of the US Open. Mirza was the first Indian to win a WTA singles title in 2005 and has reached a career-high singles ranking of 27.
