North Korea’s Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un has ordered an “exponential” increase in the nation’s nuclear arsenal, along with the development of new intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs), state media said. Kim said the repeated deployment of US nuclear strike assets in South Korea was “unprecedented in human history”. He vowed to develop a new ICBM system for “quick nuclear counter-strike”.
