Avatar-2 off to a spectacular start worldwide

The 13-year long wait has, finally, come to an end when the much-awaited sequel of Avatar hit the silver screens across the world on 16th December.

There are high expectations from Avatar: The Way of Water. The part one achieved a massive success.

Let’s take a look at the box-office collections for the movie. The James Cameron-directed flick has grossed around $435 millions in just three days of its release. According to trade analyst Ramesh Bala, the visual treat that the movie offers has ensured a phenomenal opening week at the box office worldwide.

1st weekend BO:

North America:$134 Million

China: $59 Million

Rest of the world: $242 Million

This way, Avatar-2 concluded its opening weekend on an impressive note and became the third highest grosser globally in the post-pandemic era after Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness ($442 million) and Spider-Man: No Way Home ($600 million).

Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Kate Winslet and Zoe Saldaana star in the movie in lead roles. The movie fulfills the promise of delivering a spectacular cinema experience which has earned it a highly positive word-of-mouth feedback.

Let’s see if this sequel can create that magic again at the worldwide after a very good start.
