Voting begins for 89 seats in 1st phase of Gujarat Assembly elections

Voting for 89 seats in Gujarat began at 8 am in the first phase of the Gujarat Assembly polls on Thursday. Voting will continue till 5 pm across 14,382 polling stations, the office of the state Chief Electoral Officer said. The 89 seats are spread across 19 districts of Kutch and Saurashtra region and the southern part of the state.
