GNDU ‘A’ Zone Zonal Youth Festival concluded

Khalsa College Amritsar  and S.D.S.P.M. College for Women, Rayya, Amritsar and Shahzada Nand College, Maqbul Road, Amritsar (both) won overall trophies in ‘A’ and ‘B’ divisions

Amritsar, November 02, 2022 (PNO) ‘A’ Zone Zonal Youth Festival of Amritsar district colleges of the Guru Nanak Dev University concluded in Dasmesh Auditorium of the University. In ‘A’ Division Khalsa College Amritsar bagged the first position,  BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar secured the second position and  Guru Nanak Dev University Campus, Amritsar was adjudged the third best team. In ‘B’ division, S.D.S.P.M. College for Women, Rayya, Amritsar and Shahzada Nand College, Maqbul Road, Amritsar (both) secured the first, SSSS College of Commerce for Women, Amritsar second and Trai Shatabdi GGS Khalsa College, Amritsar got third position in this festival. The competitions for theatre events, fine arts and literary events were held on the concluding day.

Dean Students’ Welfare, Prof. Anish Dua  gave the trophies to winning teams. He congratulated the winners and encouraged the participants to take part with full hardwork and enthusiasm again in future.

Prof. Dua said that these festivals are being organized under the patronage of Vice Chancellor, Dr Jaspal S. Sandhu. The student volunteers, teacher-mentors and staff members of the University campus are driving these festivals with dedicated commitment.

Dr. Tejwant Singh Kang, Convener said that ‘C’ zone Zonal Youth Festival of colleges of Jalandhar district will be organized from November 14 to 17, 2022.
