Tata plans to raise ₹15,000 crore working capital debt for Air India

Tata group is in discussion with banks to raise working capital loans worth ₹15,000 crore for Air India, according to a report. The capital will be used to pay aircraft rentals, refurbish the fleet, cover day-to-day air operations and losses and overhaul IT operations, it said. Air India was taken over by Tata group in January 2022 for ₹18,000 crore.
