Head of the Catholic Church Pope Francis on Wednesday, October 26, launched a fresh attack on the “dangers of online pornography”. He said that it was a vice that many, including priests and nuns had. He has been regularly warning people against consuming pornographic content. In June, Pope Francis called for pornography to be declared a “threat to public health”.
“Each of you think if you’ve had the experience or had the temptation of digital pornography. It’s a vice that so many people have, so many laymen, so many laywomen, and even priests and nuns,”
“The devil enters from there: it weakens the priestly heart. Excuse me for going down to these details about pornography, but there is a reality: a reality that touches priests, seminarians, nuns, consecrated souls,” The 86-year-old pontiff urged everyone to delete any digital pornographic material from their phones to “avoid any temptation”.
