Activists throw mashed potatoes at $110 million Monet painting in Germany

A video has shown climate activists throwing mashed potatoes at a Monet painting at a German art gallery, weeks after activists doused a Van Gogh artwork with tomato soup in the UK. Two activists from Letzte Generation (Last Generation) vandalised French painter Claude Monet’s Haystacks, which sold for $110 million (around ₹907 crore) in 2019, to protest a climate catastrophe.
