A fossil of a cat-sized reptile that was closely related to an extinct group of flying reptiles known as pterosaurs has been unearthed in Scotland. Named Scleromochlus taylori, the reptile lived on Earth about 240 to 210 million years ago. Scleromochlus had a large head, a long tail, a short neck, and a slender body, and stood on spindly legs.
