An explosion near a mosque in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul on Friday claimed the lives of at least seven people and injured more than 40 others, the city police said. The explosion occurred after the conclusion of Friday prayers, as per the police. Notably, the Islamic State (IS) has claimed responsibility for various such attacks in recent months.
