Russia has described the UK’s decision not to invite its representatives to Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral as “blasphemous”. “We see this British attempt to use the national tragedy…for geopolitical purposes to settle scores with our country…as deeply immoral,” Russia’s Foreign Ministry said. Relations between the two countries have been at a breaking point since Moscow began invading Ukraine.
