The Mizoram Cabinet has allowed the manufacturing and selling of wine that is made with locally-grown grapes. This comes months after the grape growers’ society in Mizoram’s Champhai district demanded legislation on the manufacture of wine that is locally brewed. The cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Zoramthanga resolved that the prohibition law would continue to be implemented strictly.
