A traveller was fined AUD 2,664 (₹1.4 lakh) by airport authorities in Australia’s Darwin after undeclared food was detected in their luggage by a security dog. The person, who had arrived from Indonesia’s Bali, was reportedly carrying sandwiches from McDonald’s. The traveller was fined under Australia’s new biosecurity rules after a Foot and Mouth disease outbreak was reported in Indonesia.
