Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2022 have been declared open in Birmingham by Prince Charles on behalf of Queen Elizabeth. “My warmest thanks go to all those who’ve worked so hard to ensure…success of this particularly special…event…I wish each athlete and team every success,” Prince Charles said quoting the Queen. Over 6,500 athletes from 72 nations/territories will participate across 11 days.
