₹401 cr spent on ads for ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ since 2015

Over ₹401 crore was spent on media advocacy for ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ scheme since its launch in 2015 to 2022, Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani said. This constitutes about 54% of ₹740.18 crore spent on the scheme during the period. Irani explained that expenditure towards media advocacy was more in the initial stages to create awareness.
