The US House of Representatives on Tuesday voted 267-157 to pass a bill protecting same-sex and interracial marriages under federal law. Forty-seven Republicans joined all Democrats in voting in favour of the bill. This comes amid concerns that the recent Supreme Court ruling ending abortion rights could endanger other precedents. The bill will now go to US Senate for vote.
