Many countries send back Indian tea over high pesticide content

Both international and domestic buyers have rejected a series of tea consignments due to presence of pesticides and chemicals beyond permissible limits, Indian Tea Exporters Association Chairman Anshuman Kanoria said. Kanoria added many countries are following strict entry regulations for tea. Most of the countries follow variations of EU standards, which are more stringent than FSSAI rules.
