The Unified Payments Interface (UPI) server appeared to be down for more than an hour on Sunday evening, causing disruptions in payments across India. Several users took to Twitter to complain about failed payments on major UPI apps, including PhonePe, Google Pay and Paytm. The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) is yet to issue a statement on the outage.
