‘Human rights crisis’: 121 million pregnancies around world each year are unintended, UN study finds

A study by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) said around 121 million pregnancies around the world each year are unintended, which amounts to almost half of all pregnancies. The UNFPA said this “human rights crisis” equates to an average of 3,31,000 unplanned pregnancies per day. It added that over 60% of unintended pregnancies result in abortions.
