New Delhi: BJP leader Mohit Kamboj on Tuesday has demanded that illegal loudspeakers installed in mosques in Mumbai city should be removed as it causes inconvenience to others.
He said that this action should be taken especially on the mosques of Bandra, Versova, and Mohammad Ali Road. Mohit Kamboj said that the Allahabad High Court had also ruled in this regard. Heart patients and other patients suffer a lot due to loudspeakers.
“Requesting Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Panday To Remove Illegal LoudSpeakers From All Masjid. Azaan Should Happen But Not On LoudSpeakers. Many High Courts Have Given Order to Stop ! CP Sanjay Pandey Have Started Initiative Against Noise Pollution” (sic), he said on Twitter.
He tweeted a video regarding the demand, urging the Mumbai Police Commissioner to launch a new campaign against noise pollution.
Mohit had demanded in a press conference on Saturday that the horns on mosques in Mumbai should be removed. Kamboj has reiterated this demand.
“It affects students, many, including older congregations, and should be removed. The Commissioner of Police should take action on it. Mumbai should be made noise free. We are not against any society or religion,” said Kamboj.
Meanwhile, Mohit Kamboj also targeted Minister of State Nawab Malik. The ED has sought information from the Mumbai Registrar on the anonymous assets of Nawab Malik and his family members earned through corruption.
The ED had arrested Nawab Malik on February 23 in a money laundering case. Nawab Malik is currently in judicial custody in Arthur Road Jail.
The jail custody of Nawab Malik, who was arrested on the charge of money laundering, was extended till April 4. At Malik’s request, the court allowed him a bed and chair in the jail.
Nawab was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) last month and was remanded in the Enforcement Directorate office. Central Investigation Agency officials arrived at the home of NCP leader Malik last month, where he was interrogated for an hour. After this he was brought to the ED office and a long interrogation took place.
